Lake and Ocean Antics

Mid North Coast region

25-26 August 2012

Grade 2-3

An overnight car-based camping trip at beautiful Seal Rocks (a comfortable 3-hour drive from the start of the F3 at Wahroonga). Day One will be spent exploring the interesting nooks and crannies of the inshore coastal waters around Seal Rocks. Lunch will be taken on a remote beach (if sea conditions permit a safe landing and break-out).

Day 2 will have us paddling on the tranquil waters of either Smiths or Myall Lakes (choice determined on the day according to conditions). Expect to finish around 3pm.

Please bring boats equipped to the Club's Grade 2 requirements. Helmets to be worn if intending to play in the surf zone (loan helmets available if required). You will need to carry lunch, nibbles and water in your kayak both days.

Assemble at car park, southern end of Number 1 Beach (opposite Seal Rocks camp ground) at 9.30am on the Saturday with the intention of being on the water at 10.00am.

You will need to make your own accommodation arrangements.  However, it’s likely that most participants will be camping at the Seal Rocks Holiday Park (http://www.sealrocksholidaypark.com.au/).

Adrian Clayton will be your trip leader (gclayton[at]bigpond.com).
